We are Mott Restoration—a full-service landscaping, restoration, and construction company rooted in a deep respect for place, craftsmanship, and ecological responsibility. We specialize in native landscaping, landscape installation, concrete and stone work, retaining walls, irrigation, lighting, and site-specific outdoor environments for residential, commercial, and large-scale properties throughout Southern California.

Mott Restoration is owned and operated by Jeff Mott. Jeff’s passion for natural spaces began as a little boy growing up on a homestead in Ohio, where wild blackberries, open land, and a rambling creek formed some of his earliest memories. Those formative experiences shaped a lifelong connection to land stewardship and the quiet beauty of nature working as it was intended.

That passion carried into adulthood as Jeff worked at a native California nursery, learning firsthand the importance of regional ecology and plant communities. He later returned to Ohio to design, own, and operate an organic farm, where pristine ecological practices and permaculture design guided both the business and his family’s way of life. Those years continue to inform how we approach land today—with intention, respect, and a long-term vision.

After moving back to Southern California in 2017, Jeff felt a renewed calling to create landscapes that truly reflect their environment. He rediscovered the artemisia, black and white sages, California lilacs, and manzanitas that define the region’s wilderness trails, and was drawn to the powerful “sense of place” this native flora creates.

Today, we bring that vision to life through Mott Restoration. Jeff works hands-on as owner and operator, collaborating with a curated team of skilled landscape designers, craftsmen, and builders. Together, we create site-specific outdoor spaces that are personal, enduring, and built with care—from native habitat restoration to hardscape construction and full-property transformations.

Our mission is to create outdoor living spaces that invite human connection while restoring and supporting native ecosystems. We proudly serve Southern California, with a particular focus on Los Angeles and communities impacted by recent wildfires, including Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Pasadena, and Altadena. We are passionate about helping these landscapes recover and thrive—creating environments where people gather, wildlife flourishes, and the land is honored.

Whether restoring fire-affected properties or installing new landscapes from the ground up, we aim to create spaces that are memorable, deeply satisfying, and built to be enjoyed for generations.
